About Alexandra ChipurnoiAn American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified personal trainer with more than two decades of experience, Alexandra Chipurnoi specializes in working with seniors. She incorporates movement-based strength training and other low-impact exercises to help her senior clients mitigate the physical impacts of aging and address conditions such as cardiovascular disease, chronic pain, and type 2 diabetes. Alexandra Chipurnoi has experience working with clients in their homes, at the YMCA, and in gyms like Club 21 and Fitness Express.
In support of her work with seniors, Ms. Chipurnoi stays up to date on the latest best practices for helping her clients achieve optimal results. She is interested in topics such as building mental muscle, how to motivate older adults, workout strategies for people with cardiovascular disease, and managing diabetes through a holistic approach. Moreover, Alexandra Chipurnoi is versed in developing and implementing community walking programs for seniors and is CPR verified. In addition to her work as a personal trainer, Ms. Chipurnoi is a community-minded individual who supports various causes, including Mindful Youth-Online and Knock Out Abuse West. Mindful Youth-Online is an internet-based mental health platform for children, while Knock Out Abuse West is a Los Angeles, California-based organization that supports victims of abuse. Since its inception in 1993, the nonprofit has provided resources to more than 35,000 women and children experiencing abuse, poverty, and homelessness. Ms. Chipurnoi is a member of Knock Out Abuse West's committee. She is also an assistant producer for The Feminist Podcast. Complementing her experience working with others in personal training and nonprofit capacities, Ms. Chipurnoi holds a bachelor of arts in communications from Marymount College. She completed secondary school at Marymount High School. |
